Dhruba Thapa

Dhruba Thapa is a civil engineering graduate with his master's degree and a postgraduate diploma in construction management. He has a long-standing experience of 36 years in the development sector including the involvement in the cement Manufacturing business for the last 16 years. He is the Managing Director of Cosmos Cement Industries Pvt. Ltd. & Eastern Cosmos Cements Pvt.Ltd. and also leading Nepalese Cement Industries, at present, as president of cement manufacturers association of Nepal (CMA). besides this, he is the chairman of his other businesses (group of companies) related to engineering, construction, Real-Estate & Urban Infrastructure and agriculture in Nepal. He is also the past president of Nepal Engineers Association (NEA), an umbrella organization of more than 25000 engineers from all faculties and at present holding the position of senior vice president of Federation of Engineering Institutions of South and Central Asia (FEISCA). He is the fellow of Nepal engineers Association and the institution of engineers India. He is also affiliated to various social and professional organization/activities in the country.
